Apple is 7th most admired company

For the first time ever Apple has made the Top 10 list of Fortune's 2007 Most Admired Companies List. Not only did Apple go up in rank, but Microsoft seems to have dropped two places from last year. Each company is rated in eight "key areas," some of which are innovation and quality of products/services, in a scale where the lowest score is better.

I'm happy to say that Apple soundly beat Microsoft in every area except social responsibility and financial soundness(which can be expected from Microsoft).

Whereas Apple received a score of 1 for both innovation and quality of products, Microsoft scored a 7 and an 8 in those respective areas.

Apple came in second to IBM by .02 points in the computer company only section, however IBM did not make it to the overall top 20.
